MARVELS OF UNITED KINGDOM

DAY 1 :      Arrive in London, England and check into your hotel. In the afternoon, there’s time to rest and get familiar with the places nearby your hotel with a short walk.

 

DAY 2 :      After breakfast,we start with morning sightseeing tour of the city’s famous landmarks:

  • the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben
  • Westminster Abbey
  • Whitehall’s Mounted Horse Guards
  • The Prime Minister’s Downing Street residence
  • Piccadilly Circus
  • Buckingham Palace.
  • Windsor Castle or the Tower of London with its spectacular Crown Jewels.
  • A leisurely cruise on the Thames River after dinner would be ravishing.

DAY 3 :      Post breakfast depart at 8 am for the West Country. Cross the chalky terrain of Wiltshire and visit STONEHENGE, one of England’s most intriguing mysteries. Visit Dartmoor National Park and the quaint Widecombe-in-the-Moor. Later, in Plymouth, visit the Mayflower Steps, where the Pilgrim Fathers embarked in 1620.

 

DAY 4 :      After breakfast, get ready for another Full Day Tour. Visit the city of Bath, famous for its amazing Roman relics and Georgian buildings. Cross the spectacular Severn Bridge into WALES and head for the capital, Cardiff. The major attractions you will be introduced to :

  • Cardiff Castle
  • Cathays Park
  • Millennium Stadium, and the stately civic buildings.

DAY 5 :      Post breakfast enjoy the vistas of rich dairy farmland on the way to the seaside resort of Tenby. Then, move to Pembroke, departure point for the Ferry across St. George’s Channel to IRELAND. Reach Rosslare within four hours.

 

DAY 6 :      After enjoying your delicious breakfast, start exploring Ireland – the “Emerald Isle”.Apleasant drive along the southern coast, passing through Cork, the country’s second-largest city. Stop at Blarney, famous for its Stone of Eloquence. Time to see the castle, and shop for Irish crafts and handmade crystals. After lunch, continue your journey to the popular resort of Killarney.

 

DAY 7 :      At Killorglin, drive through the road known as the RING OF KERRY for a 100-mile. Enjoy the coastal panoramic drive featuring sparkling seascapes, mountains dotted with brightly coloured farmhouses, winding lanes bordered with subtropical vegetation, and spectacular views of the Lakes of Killarney from Ladies View.

 

DAY 8 :      After breakfast, start the morning trip with the serene Dingle Peninsula, where the 32-mile Slea Head drive gives a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. On the way get a view of theBlasket Islands, thentravel via Adare, a village known for its prize-winning thatched cottages, to Limerick.

 

DAY 9 :      After breakfast, we start our journeytothe CLIFFS OF MOHER and The Burren on the way to the port city of Galway. Galway has beautiful cosy cafes and bars. Continue across the mighty Shannon before arriving in Dublin.

 

DAY 10 :    This day travel less so that you can gain energy to continue travelling with good health and mind. After breakfast start a half daytourin the “Fair City” featuring:

  • a drive through Eire’s capital
  • statue-lined O’Connell Street
  • elegant Georgian squares
  • Patrick’s Cathedral.

DAY 11 :    After breakfast go for a  FERRY ride across the Irish Sea to Holyhead on the Welsh Isle of Anglesey. Follow the North Wales coast to Chester, the ancient county town on the Dee River. See the Roman remains, black and white half-timbered buildings, and the two-tiered arcades called the “Rows”. Overnight stay at Liverpool.

 

DAY 12 :    After breakfast drive into the tranquil Lake District, often considered to be the finest of England’s national parks and recently awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. Then, visit Gretna Green, where the blacksmith used to wed runaway couples. Travel through the history-steeped Lowland Hills to Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city. Overnight stay at Edinburgh.

 

DAY 13 :    After breakfast visit the “Bonnie Banks” of Loch Lomondand head through wild Rannoch Moor into the Highlands. Travel along the banks of Loch Ness popularly known as the home of the timid and timeless Nessie. Overnight stay at Edinburgh.

 

DAY 14 :    After breakfast travel via Perth and Dundee before crossing the Tay Bridge to St. Andrews, whose Royal and Ancient Golf Club, founded in 1754, has given us the rules of golfing. A suggestion for this evening: enjoy a traditional Scottish night out, with Highland dancers, bagpipers, and, of course, the Ceremony of the Haggis.

 

DAY 15 :    After breakfast enjoy a full day trip to the Scottish capital. Visit a 200-year-old “New Town,” home famous scientists, inventors, and novelists. In the “Old Town,” visit EDINBURGH CASTLE to admire Scotland’s Crown Jewels and overnight stay.

 

DAY 16 :    After breakfast, check out from hotel and move towards Jedburgh

  • the Abbey ruins
  • the Cheviot Hills and the English border
  • the Northumberland National Parkand
  • the Roman coast-to-coast defense against marauding northern tribes
  • In York, see the great structure of York Minster

Overnight stay is at Leeds.

 

DAY 17 :    After breakfast, we shall head towards Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, take photos of Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and explore the town at your own pace. Return to London and overnight stay.

 

DAY 18 :    After breakfast, transfer to airport for your return journey.
